Keyboard funkiness

When I press Ctrl-F1 on this new XP Pro box of mine, it starts up WinDVD.
AFAIK I don't have any shortcuts pointing to WinDVD that have this assigned
as a hotkey.

When I press Ctrl-F4, it does nothing, instead of closing the current
window (in an MDI app). Ctrl-F3 and Ctrl-F6 also do nothing.

What's causing this weirdness?

Make sure that you have the correct XP-compatible driver for your keyboard.
Go to the website of your manufacturer.

Not sure if this will help your situation, but:
Make sure that you have the correct keyboard configuration in Regional and
Language Settings.
Start
Control Panel
Regional and Language Settings
Languages tab
Advanced button
Settings tab
Make sure you have the correct Input Language and Keyboard selected. To see
the keyboard choices, click the Add... button.
Apply any changes
OK

I figured it out. The WinDVD system tray app was grabbing the keypress.

Damn systraps.
