Keyboard Freezes

Hi,

I'm running Vista Home Premium, 160 GB hard drive, 2 GB memory, Mozilla
Suite browser and mail, and McAfee Suite with antivirus, etc.. About
once per week, and with no particular pattern, my keyboard freezes. As
per Toshiba support, I turn off the A.C. power supply, and remove the
battery from the Toshiba Satellite laptop. After a minute or so, I
return the battery to the unit, turn on the A.C., and start the laptop.
It gives a message that Windows did not turn off, and offers me a choice
of how to start. Making no choice, it then starts normally after about
30 seconds.

Any clue as to why this happens, and what I can do to stop it?

Thanks.

Have your updated all the drivers and BIOS from Toshiba's site?

Click Tech Support Center on Left Menu and enter your model.

Hi Spirit,

I updated all drivers and BIOS from Toshiba. The keyboard still freezes
every few days, as before. As before, stopping A.C. and D.C. power for a
minute leads to an incomplete Windows close down, and a good normal
restart. Mystery.

Thanks.

I would definitely get Toshiba's Support involved.... things like this
get worse not better often.

Thanks a lot. I'll call Toshiba again. They have not been too helpful in
the past; let's hope that they are better now.
