Keyboard disables after hibernate.....fix?

Is there some trick sothat when my computer comes out of hiberate that the
keyboard and sound still operate. This is a wired keyboard in a Dell P3 and
XP home.

Any tips appreciated.

Why are you using hibernate?

Is it a PS/2 (round plug) or USB connection? There can be problems with
drivers reinitialising on return from hibernate, which is likely to be
more troublesome with USB. If it does not come clean out of
hibernation, then the simple solution is not to hibernate - there is
little point usually on a desktop machine
