kernel32

My husband installed a download purportedly from
Microsoft, probably the same addressed in previous
messages, referring to outlook, etc. Every time he boots
up he gets the following error message: "Memory access
violation in module kernel32 at 6283:84436361". The pop-
up box in the background shows file name apntex.exe. I
was able to get rid of the box by changing the name, but
am still getting an error message. Does anyone know how I
can fix this, short of a system restore? Thanks very much.

My husband's laptop is now free of the virus, which I was
unaware of. Thanks so very much!
