keeps rebooting

I'm running W2000pro with all updates. After removing a bunch of programs.
My laptop computer keeps running windows installer upon bootup. Then I get
the message that windows is shutting down. The OS just keeps rebooting over,
and over, and over.......
Any ideas how to fix this?

Boot with boot disks and install W2K over the top and choose repair when the
prompt comes up
