Keeping Details view as file view preference when inserting image

Every time I open a file from File>Open..., I change the setting to "Details"
view, my preferred. Yet PPT 2003 never seems to remember. So everytime I open
a file I have to click the "Views" pulldown to switch it. Over and over.
 
I'm not sure what the "Details" view is, but try going to Tools/Options and
click the View tab. You can customize your view from there, and in the
"Default view" drop down menu at the bottom you can select "The view saved in
the file." That way, you only have to adjust it once per each new document.
