keep words together

I am trying to keep Mr. Danford from splitting at the end of a line in a
paragraph. How can I do this? I can't seem to figure it out. I tried
control/shift + the spacebar, but that didn't work.

Any suggestions?

If Ctrl+Shift+Spacebar (nonbreaking space) doesn't work, then likely there's
another ordinary space already there. Display nonprinting characters so you
can see what's going on.

Thank you Suzanne. I am working on a computer someone else had and evidently
that shortcut was reprogrammed at some point. However, I did get my text to
stay together and appreciate your tip.
