Keep on receiving the same email hundred of times

Hi,
Our company has just been upgraded to Win2003 Server (this shouldn't be the
cause of the problem). Originally, we have an email account call
(e-mail address removed) in machine A, then we added the same email address into
machine B, so both machine will receive the emails coming to
(e-mail address removed).

The next day we came back, I just don't understand why we keep on receiving
the same emails. Every single email from our client had been duplicated
hundreds of times, it's like every min we received the email again and
again. Then we deleted the email account in machine B, but the problem still
exist. We doubt it may be virus, but not sure. Can anyone give me some
suggestion? Thanks.

Regards,
Adrian

I had the same problem on several Machines using Outlook2002 and Pop3. The
Mailaccount was configured to leave messages on the server (to get the email
also from a different machine). Outlook does not recognize the email to be
downloaded already and receives the mails continously. After clearing the
leave-on-server option the problem was gone.

Funny is that the problem occurs not directly. First it worked for some
weeks, then the problem occurs. Dont ask me why. But we could solve the
problem as described above.

Regards
Frank
