Keep old Access from becoming default?

Gang,
Some time about a year ago someone here showed how to make a registry
change on Access 97 so that when it is installed with later versions it
won't try to become the default version.

Had to install 97 first, make some reg change, then install the later
version.

Any help??

Thanks

I think you may have the details mixed up. If you don't want Access 97 to
reregister itself whenever you use it, look for the file MSACCESS.SRG in the
same folder as MSACCESS.EXE for Access 97. Rename it (just in case you ever
need it again), and create an empty file named MSACCESS.SRG
