Keep movie clip playing while slide advance

Have inserted a movie clip and set effect option to stop after 4 slides (set
slides to transition automatically after 12 seconds). The slides do not
advance automatically, only with a click. Any suggestions?

Diamond,

In PPT 2003, insert your movie the usual way. In the task pane custom
animation double click the item that plays the movie, choose the effect tab.
Next to stop playing after put in the number of slides you want the video to
run. Be aware that other contents must stay out of the way of the video, a
video always plays on top.

Here's a tutorial on the subject; look for movie across slides

Luc,

Thanks, I had done all of what you mentioned and found the only way to make
it work was to go to the Slide Show tab, click "set up show" and choose
"choose timings, if present" under the advance slide section. Now it works
fine. Thanks.
