kc-180 based USB infrared device driver

Hello,
have two USB IrDA interfaces (GrandTec and KC Technology) based on KC-180
chip. Unfortunately drivers come as "irxpress.exe" which would most likely
sc.ew Vista up.

Anyone here making this HW work in Vista?

P.S. linux driver is "irda-usb" and obviously works immediately :/

I'm a Slackware user and own a kc-180 usb2irda dongle.
As you already said the usb-irda driver works but have you been able to get it running with lirc?
If anybody has, please mail me. Thank you!
