How do I identify and uninstall Windows Update KB943460 ?

KB943460 is causing my System Restore feature to malfunction.

Help please folks

Keith

If you go to the Add/Remove Programs, you can see all the programs
installed. There is a check box at the top that will allow you to "Show
updates". Make sure that is checked and then you will be able to see all the
updates installed and remove the particular one. In some cases you can
uninstall updates, in other cases you can't. Also, an extreme, is if you
know when the update was installed, do a system restore to before that point
and ensure the update doesn't go through.

Good Luck

Thanks for being prepared to help Brent

(but) always a but

Three problems

1) The wretched KB943460 does not appear in my uninstall list.

2) I cannot get back far enough on restore points as I only allocate 2%

3) Even if I could I reckon Software Distribution 3.0 would block all
attempts to restore from any of my restore points. The program does something
horrible as I have none of the default 'System' Restore points either

I've tried all the restore points I have and always get the System Restore
cannot restore try another restore point 'error message'

I am not alone with this problem if you google Software Distribution 3.0 up
come quite a lot of other users with the 'problem'

Any other thoughts ?

I hope so.

How many times are you going to post this? You've already made >2<
threads on this matter already! Posting more times is not going to get
you an answer any faster!

Hi Milt

I have already received a reprimand for making more than one post on the
same subject.

I apologise and will not do so again.

My excuse ?

I am inexperienced with the forum conventions.

Desperate to rid myself of KB943460 I thought I was increasing my chance of
technical help by asking the question under more than one heading.

I know better now and am feeling ashamed of myself.

Sorry to waste your time.
