Trying to install security update and I continually get
this message:

No Updates Were Installed

The following items failed to install. To try installing
them again, click Review and install updates, and then
click Install Now again.

Security Update for Windows XP (KB835732)

ALL other updates and patches loaded and installed fine
except for this one. I've tried deleting the WUTemp
folder, did a search for all instances of KB835732 and
deleted them. I rebooted, tried to update again and the
same error message came up. Any clues? I need to get this
box clean and secure. Thank you.

Search for the file 'catroot2' and rename it to anything such as catrootold.
Then download and install. A new 'catroot2' file will be generated. The file
should be in C:\windows\system32.

Nope....that didn't work. Same error message. I tried a manual install and it came up
Access Denied and then another box came up saying Installation of KB835732 did not
complete.

Any other suggestions? It's one box that I'm the administrator / owner of. Thanks.
