KB832894 causes long pause when starting IE6

After installing 832894, it now takes about 15 seconds
for the initial IE6 window to appear. Before this patch
was applied, the window appeared relatively quickly after
invocation.

Any thoughts?

I have XP Pro. Defragging did not help.

I've been grappling with the slow initial load (approx. 12 sec.) of IE6 SP 1 recently also. (See "IE 6 SP 1 Slow to Open", first posted 15 Feb.) My posts and others list our troubleshooting attempts, all unsuccessful. So today I just uninstalled the damn thing (KB832894, that is.) Problem gone.
