KB823353 Keeps Trying to Install

Automatic Update keeps telling me this update is ready to install. It
installs it and then it pops up again saying it's ready to install! Huh?
IE/OE version is 6.0.2800.1106. Anyone know what's going on here?

Hi,

If you have the security update KB897715 (MS05-030) installed,
it is most likely caused by that.

Temporarily uninstall KB897715, and see if KB823353 (MS04-018)
installs successfully. Then install KB897715 again.

Same problem here but when I went to uninstall KB897715 I got a huge list of
most of the programs on my computer saying that they might not run correctly
in it was uninstalled. If I go ahead with this and successfuly install the
repeating one, can I then go to the Windows update site and will it
reinstall KB897715 for me all right? I can't afford to have this machine go
down on me if possible. If there's any doubt I would rather just put up with
the update reminder and ignore it.

For this update, that is a warning you don't need to worry about.

Yes, the Windows Update should be offering you KB897715.

An alternative is to download and install KB897715 manually. You
will find the download link for KB897715 here:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms05-030.mspx

I uninstalled 897715 and attempted to install 823353. No go. Keep getting
window saying I must have OE SP1 installed which I do. Huh?
