K7S5A rebuild - beep codes - problem

Hello:

I'm having a problem with a re-build of a Duron System.

Originally, the system was a Duron 1300MHZ on a ECS K7S5A (rev 1)
mainboard with
256 MB of PC-133 SDRAM, 40GB hdd and 32MB AGP video Card.

The processor was damaged due to the heatsink being improperly installed
so I gutted the system and upgraded to a newer one on an ASUS mobo.

Now I'm trying to build a cheap internet system with the leftover parts.

I bought a used Duron 700MHZ CPU, it was tested and works fine. The RAM
is the original
256 MB PC-133 SDRAM that was in the machine before the upgrade.

I needed a hard drive and video card to complete the system. I bought a
cheap pci video card and a 6GB hard drive. All were tested before
installation and worked.

Now after assembling the system I get 4 beeps on post up. 1 long with 3
short beeps.

I've checked online with regard to beep codes and get different answers.

The BIOS is AMI. I don't believe it has ever been upgraded [flashed].

Any suggestions as to what might be wrong?

I'd appreciate the help.

TIA!!

The obvious answer is to follow up on all the different answers for the
beep codes especially if they come from Elite, Memtest86 the memory,
reset the CMOS, check Elite specs for cpu compatibility, try re-slotting
pci card, turn off AGP in bios, step down cpu and memory timings.

Most of the time it's either memory or Graphic card. Your graphic card may
be using too much power for your setup.
