Juxtaposing letters in cell

I am trying to enter NWE in one of my excel cells and it continually changes
it to NEW when I move to the next cell. I tried doing same in another cell
with the same result. Any suggestions?

i think your auto correct is kicking in. Always helpful excel being helpful.
on the menu bar tools>auto correct options.
scroll down the list and highlight NWE>New and delete.
