Why does the tool not recognize the @doubleklick.net and
@mediaplex.com cookies?
Kind of strage...
ad-aware SE remarks them as data-miners

In general, in a tool which doesn't recognize cookies at all, I wouldn't be
surprised at the lack of recognition of specific cookies.

(Cookies are not scanned for by either beta build released so far,
apparently. This decision is under review for a possible future beta
release.)

Bill is correct, at this time we are not detecting or removing cookies, but
are reviewing what the strategy will be in a future release.

I noticed that cookies.avi is in the program files.
Presumably either a remnant from GIANT or in preparation
of scanning cookies in a later version.

My sense of this is that removing this functionality happened at the last
minute--I have this vision of the legal department wrestling with the
developers, and perhaps the PR/marketing folks cheering on one side or the
other.

As you can see, I'm not very close to the process, so I can afford to poke a
little fun at it.
The vision may very well be wrong--maybe the developers were wrestling with
themselves--to be certain they can come up with a defined set of cookes that
are appropriate. At any rate, I'm sure they will settle this
eventually--but I wouldn't want to bet on how--personally, I tend to suspect
the lawyers, and also think they may be right--i.e. this area has to be
defined very carefully to be defensible and not cost the company $ fighting
off the spyware vendors, some of whom are very well heeled.
