Junk files-Managing Hard Drive

I am 3 months new to the internet. Does anyone know how
to Manage your hard drive by getting rid of junk files
that are not cleaned up by "disk cleanup". (ie..old logs,
unneccessary install files, and other junk) How do you
find them easily to delete them, and how can I monitor
them on a regular basis. Just trying to be ahead of the
game. Thank you in advance.
