Junk emails by Exchange 2007

We are making use of junk email filter by Exchange 2007 at Outlook 2007.

The workstations store emails at pst file, instead of Exchange server
mailbox.

however, we find the some junk mails go to mailbox at pst file and some junk
mails go to mailbox at server mailbox.

Should they all go to the junk mail folder at pst file instead of server
mailbox?

Thanks a lot.

No, that is the difference between client-side filtered or server-side
filtered. The Exchange server is not involved with local pst-file.

Just curious; why would you want delivery to a pst-file when you have an
Exchange server?

Thanks for your information.

We store emails at pst file because the users have more than 1G emails. i
am afraid to put them (100 users) all to the server mailbox.

We have run this model since Exchange 5.5, 2000 & 2003. If i put them all
to server mailbox, i can only allow them 100m space which must not be
accepted by users.

Their delivery locations should be the mailbox, with a rule moving messages
to a PST. You want your non-mail items on the Exchange server or you
obviate much of the usefulness of Exchange.
