Junk email filter and IMAP

Although Outlook 2003's help states that the junk email
filter works with IMAP folders, so far it hasn't caught a
single piece of spam on the "high" setting. Do I need to
do any special configuration to get it to work with
IMAP? Will it really move the message out of my IMAP
inbox and expunge the IMAP folder?

Also, if it doesn't catch a piece of spam and I drag it
over to the junk email folder, does the bayesian filter
then go to work?

Thank you,

It works for me on IMAP. However, it only marks the message for deletion in
the Inbox.

Are there server-side settings on IMAP accounts that can
prevent the junk email filter from working? I know of
another person who has a campus email account like myself
that also cannot get the filter to work.

Thanks,

I doubt it. In the month or so since I have used Outlook, the filters have
only picked up about 5 emails. Most are blocked by my server and I probably
get 2 or 3 that make it through each day. Is it possible that the spam
filters are working but are just not catching the spam?

I guess that could be a possibility, but I doubt it. It
is set on high, and since I've got it set up I've had
messages about Ron Jeremy's special feature, etc. I've
dragged the spam messages I've received into the Junk
Mail Folder. Is that all it takes for the thing
to "learn"?

Thanks,
