Junk Email/Blocked Senders Question

Hi all, I have one email account associated with my web hosting, which I do
not use for 'real email' but I have to keep it active. Until today I left
these messages on my server and browsed there, but it is getting overwhelming
and the web host asked me to start downloading them. I did one initial
send/receive and got 472 junk emails in the first few minutes.

Since the ONLY legit sender to this particular email is the web host, I've
written a rule that everything NOT from the web host should go to the junk
email folder.

Normally when I get junk in my inbox I manually "Add Sender to Blocked
Senders List" which puts it in the junk folder too. What I'm wondering is,
when these new junk emails go directly to the junk folder, are the senders
automatically marked as blocked, to cut down on my future emails? Or are the
emails simply marked as junk and moved out of my inbox?

Thanks,

Donna

Marked as junk and moved out. Assuming you use Ol2003 (based on the
reference to Blocked Senders), adding addresses from junk mail to the block
list is a waste of resources - especially since there is a limit of about
2000 addresses. http://www.slipstick.com/emo/2004/up040722.htm#safe

Since only one domain is valid, I would create a rule for mail sent to the
account - move all to the deleted folder except mail from @host_domain.com
