Junk e-mail filter update 2/14/08 not filtering well

I've recently noticed I'm getting a LOT of junk e-mail to my inbox, the
previous filter used to work really well for me. I'm set up for automatic MS
updates and I see now that there was a update for Outlook 2003, updated junk
e-mail filter (KB944941) installed my system on 2/14/08. I haven't changed
my junk setting, has been on "low", working well before this update.

Have others noticed this too?
I'm considering uninstalling this update but would like to know if there's
something important in it that I should be keeping. Any input?

It happens when you installed Expression Web.

Go to Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs and with the Show Updates box
checked...scroll down to the last Junk Email Update and uninstall it...then
go to MS site and reinstall it...that will fix the problem. I believe MS is
working on and/or has fixed this in the next release of EW.

I'm almost embarrassed that you knew this was ME ... the "problem child" who
can't get Frontpage to open after installing EW!!! You must LIVE on these
discussion lists, as it seems I'm doing lately. Actually, I've never really
had to before but am finding them a great source of information.

This was an easy fix, thanks!

You're welcome.

I recognized your voice :)

I, like many, hop from one ng to another...it's better than watching the
boobtube.

Hmmm ... must have been the southern drawl, unique for someone in the north!
Outlook filtering seems to be working fine now.

BTW, I'm curious where you got the "Crash" ... must be an interesting story
behind that.
