Jumping screen

Sometimes, my laptop will boot with 4 or 5 beeps. When I get into any
software, the screen will cycle through all the buttons and the dtat scetion
will scroll down, then back to the top. This also happens with Internet
Explorer. It is almost impossible to click on any button. Usually, I have to
hold down the ALT key to get it to stop. I have run McAfee's virus and
anti-spyware, along with Windows Defender, Spybot, and Ad-Aware. This does
not happen verytime. sometimes the computer will work fine, but may start
after about 20 minutes. Any ideas??

The beeps are an audible code letting you know that something is wrong
with a hardware component. This has nothing to do with Windows
(software). Audible codes vary from BIOS to BIOS. Since this is a laptop
and you can't fix most of the hardware anyway, contact the laptop
mftr.'s tech support for an explanation of the beeps,
repair/replacement. The next time it happens and before you call tech
support, pay attention to the beeps and write them down. An example
might be "2 short, 2 long" or "4 short", etc.

This is most likely a hardware problem. The beeps that you hear when a
computer starts are called "Beep Codes" or "BIOS Beep Codes". From
these beep codes technicians can determine possible hardware problems,
the beep codes are different for different makes of computers. It can
be normal for the computer to issue a few beeps, or not beeps when it
starts, but if your computer starts to boot with a different beep
pattern than what it usually does then you probably have a hardware
problem. If the machine is still under warranty you should call the
manufacturer and arrange to have them fix it. If the machine is out of
warranty you may want to take it to a competent computer repair shop.
You can search the internet and find out what the beep code means, just
search for your particular make and model of computer or for the BIOS in
your computer, typical search results:
