Jump Menu

Hi,

I don't think FrontPage has a Jump Menu tool, Dreamweaver
has it though. But I would like to achieve this
functionality. Anybody know if FrontPage has this feature
or if there is any other way to achieve something like
this? Jump Menu is actually a drop down menu that acts
like a link. User clicks on the drop down menu, list of
items appear, user selects an item, and the link takes
them to its destination page.

Any help would be great, please email me your suggestions.

Thanks
Kate

Kate,

Search on my previous posts and you'll find a jumpURL component that you can
use. It installs with the FrontPage 2002 Software Developer's Kit. Only
requires a minor bit of editing in one text file to set it up, it works
great, and it won't cost you a dime.

From the post Jim was referencing:

Download the SDK from the following URL:

http://fpsdk.frontpagelink.com

After you do that, you'll have the jumpURL component. Instructions are
there for how to configure it. They might be a little hard to understand.
I will have full instructions in my book (releasing in November of this
year) and will try to add instructions to my Web site prior to that time.

Hi Kate,

FP 2003 will have it built in. You may wait until it's release in October.

Thanks Tom and Jim.
I have never wrote a script in my life, I tried the
jumpURL generator from the FPSDK, but when I clicked the
Finish button, nothing happened. Where is the script that
is supposed to be generated?
Please tell me how to use this generator, I can't sleep
thinking about it.
