jpg graphics in signature

I am attempting to create a signature which contains two graphic jpg files.
I go to edit an existing signature that has only text and then go into the
advanced edit mode which brings up Word. I can add the graphics and save the
file. When I start a new mail I get a red "X" where the graphic should be
located.

It also renames the graphic files to image001.jpg and image002.jpg and
places them in a child folder from the "C:\Documents and
Settings\bill\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures" folder. The child
folder contains the two images and a file called files list or something
similar.

Can you help me get this task complete?

I am using Outlook 2003 SP1

Bits!! Please do tell......
What was the solution?

I am a new user to Outlook 2003 as of this week, and am attempting to do the
very same thing you have described here, and receiving the same results. How
do you get that darn graphic (jpg) to embed itself into the signature?

Thanks!! :c)
