.JPG File type option NOT available in 'File save As...' option

If I am in Internet Explorer and want to save a picture I can either wait
until my mouse move displays an icon to allow me to save the file, else
right-click over the image to save the file. The trouble is that I only have
a Bitmap or .bmp file type as the only option. Why can't I have the .jpg file
type option as well?

How do I install/modify my system to include the option to save my files in
a .jpg format in my 'File Save As...' list?

Clear the Temporary Internet Files. In IE>Tools>Internet Options>
Delete Files button. And check the box to Delete Offline content.
