jpeg to avi or other MS video format conversion

I am using visual studio .NET with framework 1.0. I have a
bunch of jpeg files, which I need to programmatically make
a video out of. The video format is not an issue, as long
as it can be run by Windows media player 9, and is in
compressed format.

The language is VB.NET.
