when i try and save a image on the net, i right click on it..save picture
as...and
under save as type it says....JPEG (*.jpg), but under the name of the file
it has
a .jpe extention.

is there anyway to have it come up with the .jpg extention or do i have to
change
it manually all the time?

thanks,

Steve

hi bert,

it's not so much the file association as why does this machine
always want to save all jpg's as .jpe files? does that make
any sense?

thanks,

steve

I had the same problem with my computer. I fixed it by editing the registry.
Go here:
http://www.dansdata.com/io021.htm
They have instructions for editing the registry and fixing the problem, scroll
down it's the second question. This fix worked for me.

Not an XP issue, it's the Autocomplete in Internet Explorer. Tools,
Internet Options, Content tab.
