Join a Windows Domain

I have Windows XP home edition on my laptop and just brought it to work join
the network.

In order to do so I have to set my domain. Not workgroup but domain.

Every other XP that I've used has a radial select button under System
Properties -> Computer Name that allows you to choose whether you'd like to
use a workgroup or a domain.

My XP doesn't. I only have the option of joining a workgroup not a domain.
Is this a fault of my version of XP (ie its incomplete) or is there some
property that I'm missing.

No one in the office has any idea what to do.

Can I maybe set my domain from the command line or something? I'm at my wits
end.

Thanks,

-Daniel

Greetings Daniel,

Windows XP Home cannot join a domain. The behavior is by design. You can
connect to domain resources. For more details, see the following links.
