I'm not selling anything, I'm not trying to extort your money by making
you believe you'll turn 10$ in a grand... This is just a job offer for
programmers that visit this board daily. Most people who will be
interrested are probably not even looking for a job. Posting on a "job
offer" website or board would have been useless.

No one is disputing your reasoning Carl, however Scott is right to point out
that this group is for general queries around the .NET Framework and
subjects should really be about day to day help relating to .NET technology.

There is an announcements group for this type of posting. Posting here will
just get you flamed.

You may like it, but it is not considered proper Netiquette. I think you'll find many people do not like it.

Carl,

A job posting in a professional development forum like this is a
solicitation. You are posting because you have a need, right? These forums
are set up for developers to ask questions of each other and converse about
the newsgroup topic. They weren't set up to be job posting boards.

When you post an advertisement (that's what you've done here) in a
newsgroup, you are basically telling everyone that you either don't know or
don't care about the newsgroup netiquette. That says something about you
and your company.

There are many special newsgroups devoted to exactly what you are trying to
do and they are visited by the same professionals you are seeking.

Maybe you could list those for him.

Also, is there a

microsoft.public.dotnet.jobsoffered ng?

Maybe you could list those for him.

Maybe he could simply look at the rest of the Microsoft.Public ng's? Maybe
he could do a Google search? Maybe he could visit Monster.com?
