JIT Debugger for Windows Update Missing

Hello,

While installing MS Updates, I keep getting the following available update
and these error messages.

I have searched for other 'JIT Debugger' threads, but can find nothing with
the exact error messages I get. I am not sure if I actually need the update
or not and do not know what it is. Your response or leads to other threads
would be helpful and very much appreciated.

Errors I get in order:

"Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pak 1
(KB886903)" an Error Message occurs

"SL11.tmp - Common Language Runtime Debugging Service Application has
generated an exception that could not be handled

Process id=0xdc4 (3524), Thread id=0x468(1208)

Click OK to terminate the application
Click CANCEL to debug the application"

Then when I click CANCEL to debug, I get this message:

"SL11.tmp - No debugger found

Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a debugger
with the following command resulted in an error code of 0x2(2).

Please check computer settings

cordbg.exe !a 0xdc4

Click on Retry to have the process wait while attaching a debugger manually
Click on Cancel to abort the JIT debug request"

Additionally, the only time I get the JIT debugger error message is when
attempting to install the MS update.

Help please.

Thank you,

Hello,

Did you get a response to your posting, or did you resolve the issue? I got
the same set of responses as you did when I tried to install .NET Framework
1.1 SP1.

Regards,

Bob

I have the same error showing when my auto update is activated. Does anyone
know how to fix this?
