"jet" access security issue

Upon entry into Access 2000 program file receive message
that "Jet engine database" detected additional user -
won't allow entry in to the file. All other users were
logged off system, tried to reboot all PC's and server -
no luck. Problem occurred after attempt to "Compact and
Repair" database. Other user may have entered system
during this operation. Any suggestions????

Check for a stray .ldb file in the same directory as your Access program. If
there is one, delete it (Access will recreate if for you as needed). If you
can't delete it, you may need to reboot the machine and then delete it.
