jet 4.0 not installed

I am trying to create a table, but cannot as I get a meassage related to "Jet
4.0". I go to Office Updates and it says I have latest updates. Have no
idea what to do and it makes Access unuseable.
 
You might go to Microsoft's download site and download the jet pack to your
desktop and then try to install it instead of the windows update page.
 
I tried to do that but I kept getting the message that it was already
installed. I ended up uninstalling Office 2003 completely and then
reinstalling it after creating restore points to save my previous status.
After the reinstall I did the updates it suggested and everything seems to be
working without any error message. Thanks for your suggestion.
