I received an email telling me that jdbgmgr.exe is a
security threat to Windows and that the file should be
eliminated.

According to the properties, it is a java debugger.

Is that the case, or is it a Virus?

That email is a hoax.

Thanks Marina. I found information on Panda.com (an anti-
virus program), and also if someone does delete the file
by mistake, it explains how to restore it etc.
