Javascript:void(null); or Javascript:; -problem clicking certain js action items

On websites around the www I have problems clicking
certain buttons, drop-down menus etc. made in javascript.
There is nothing wrong with the websites because these
things are key-features on big company websites. The
problem I'm having is very frustrating because it means I
can't use the website.

For instance: there is one travel agency website where I
can't book a ticket because the button is javascript and
nothing happens when I click it. It works when I do it
from my computer at work, but not at home. All I get
down in the left hand corner of the browser window is
Javascript:void(null); or Javascript:;, which of course
means that it doesn't return anything. The funny thing is
that I've had others downloading IE6 and the same thing
starts happening to their browser. Of course, I've tried
to download, re-install etc. but there is now change.

Does anybody have a clue what this is and how to fix it?

Make sure you JavaScript is enabled in Tools > Options > Security >
Customized.

If no joy, uninstall update 0824145 from the Add/Remove programs.
