Nothing happens when I click Javascript links

Matt

Hi there,

I have a problem with my laptop (on both IE and Firefox, so I assume it's a
machine setting) in that it won't open certain links, mainly javascript I
think. EG. when I click this link:

javascript:void(playMedia2({w_id:'613009',w:'http://web.servicebureau.net/conf/m.../04/phimlb-atlmlb-1',fid:'h12',cid:'mlb',v:'2'}))

nothing happens. I also don't get any scroll over menus. As examples, this
has happened on the MLB website and the Delta Air website.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Thanks a lot,

Matt

Hi Matt,

Make sure that Java is installed. If installed, uninstall and reinstall
Java.

Javascript interpretation is built into the browser. Java is a separate
interpreter that can be integrated with a browser. Javascript and Java
are NOT the same just because they share a word in their name, just like
Word and WordPerfect are unrelated and Outlook and Outlook Express are
unrelated.

The user will need to ensure that scripting is enabled in their
browser's configuration. Popup blocking can also block opening a new
context to run the javascript (since it is not within a web page being
rendered inside the browser's window).

Hi Vanguard,

Thanks for that. How do I enable Scripting? And do you know how or why this
setting would have changed? These links used to work.

Thanks.

M.

This still hasn't solved the problem I'm afraid - does anyone have any other
ideas?

Cheers,

Matt
