Java?

Hi All,
Being unable to receive MSN-VM, have installed/uninstalled SUN JAVA which
has a size of approx. 117MB and another 117MB+ for updates, which, in my
opinion, is an oversized addition to my HD. In reference to games, I seem to
be able to get by without Java with the games I presently have, (approx .)
three dozen. I know there are other programs which do require Java. Is there
an alternative out there that requires less space of the HD.

I think you have downloaded the JDK and not the JRE version (you
only need JRE):

Use the "Download JRE 5.0 Update 2" link here:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp


Anyway, take a look at this post by Jim Byrd to get some information
on how to add MS JVM to your OS installation::
