Java Scripts do not work in IE

G

Guest

I am running XP w/ SP2, and IE6 with SP2.
I have changed my IE settings to Default.

When using IE, I cannot get the javascripts to work. I even could not use
IE to open the "New Question" to post this. Nothing happened when I clicked
on the New>Question button. (I had to use Firefox to post this message.)

I tried downloading the Sun Java and running that but had no luck.

I am thinking about re-installing IE. Is there a way to re-install IE6 with
XP SP2?

Hi raleigh :)

There are varying reasons this can happen, so try the following and see if
it helps:

JavaScript not working:

Uninstall Javascript from "Add Remove Programs" in control panel,
then download it from www.java.com and reinstall it.

also....

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.

Java and JavaScript are not related.
