Java not working

I have tried and tried to get Sun Java working on my
computer, following all the steps Sun has asked me to
take. Still can't get it active on my PC. It shows the
Java coffee cup in my control panel, it is the latest
version, all IE settings are correct, but it still shows
a Red X when I try to test Java on the site instead of a
dancing icon. Any ideas?

Go to http://java-virtual-machine.net/download.html and get another version.
