Java in XPe

Can I add MSJVM (or other Java VM) to my XPe image and consequently
redistribute it to my customers? Or is it no legal?

Carlos,

MS may want to hop in here, but I'm pretty sure you need to stay away from
JVM all together in your runtimes. I was asked to remove the JVM component
from www.xpefiles.com so I would think it's a no-no.

You can however componentize the Sun Java Browser applet and apply that to
your runtimes.

HTH,

a.. Microsoft Support for Java: The companies have agreed that Microsoft may
continue to provide product support for the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine
that customers have deployed in Microsoft's products.

I wonder if I can add the JVM component back into XpeFiles. :)

I'll contact the lawyer types and find out.

Thanks for the link!
