System Speaker not working when accessed via Java

I can not get the system speaker to beep when accessed via JAVA 1.4.2.
System speaker beeps on startup. System speaker beeps when accessed through
a TouchScreen Display controller.
I have a XPE SP2 image that includes: XP Sound Scheme, System Speaker, and
Legacy Audio Drivers.
My XPE SP2 hardware does not have audio card installed.
I have same harware running Win2k and the system speaker works when accessed
via Java.
Java 1.4.2 sample:
Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().beep();

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Any help at all would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for your response.

I am unable to find a "Beep Driver" component within target designer,
searching for "Beep" or "Beep Driver".
I have XP Empedded with SP2.

I see the Beep Driver information within the "Windows Embedded Studio Help"
documentation.

Can you provide any additional information about this component?

Thanks again

Rob,
I have found the "Beep Driver" component. You must change your visibility in
target designer to see this componet.
Thanks again.
