my virus software (free version grisoft.com) has detected a virus and calls
it Java/Byte verified. but doesn't remove it!

Website say go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com but I can't find any
information on how to remove it from my Windows XP Pro computer.

Can someone direct me to a place that explains how to remove it?

Tony,

The problem is that not all the Anti Virus software makers call
all the virii the same names.

Try one of these and see if one of them can help you.
