Java and aero glass not on build 5744

JRE 1.50_06 installs and works ok, but every time I hit a web page using
Java, the screen blanks out for several seconds while the entire Windows GUI
switches from aero glass to the basic interface, and it stays that way until
I close the web browser. I tried installing the latest 1.50_09 JRE but the
install fails right at the end with a message about a problem with the msi
file.

Has anyone managed to get Java running on Vista without aero glass getting
disabled? This is on the latest RC2 5744 build that I just downloaded and
ran a fresh install.

Nick, you need the Java 6 beta 2 for Vista compatibility.

Uninstall JRE 1.5 first.
