I have recently been able to fix the shutdown problem hang on two HP
Pavilion desktop computers by imposing an "end task" action via
shift-control-esc and then the applications tab......the following
file was causing the problem:
Updates from HP Agent
Please consider adding this to y'alls shutdown solution webpage.
