Helpless

I bought XP PRO, installed it, activated it, and have been using it
for past months.

Now my system is acting up and I have reached the point that I want to
reinstall XP again and start afresh.

Problem is, I have mislaid the darned CD disk. I do have its serial
number recorded however.

Assuming I cannot find the disk, I'm wondering what my options are.
Can I coerce MS to send me another disk? Or, what else can I do?
Short of another $300 that is.

Thank you

Nothing on an XP CD ties it to a specific Product Key. So if you can find a
friend with XP Pro and copy his disk and you have a valid Product Key you're
set.

I have a valid key and a friend with such a CD. I will attempt to get
it and make a copy and try it.

Thanks
