Itunes will not detect cd burner

Neil

I just installed itunes (newest version) and bought a few songs only
to find out Itunes will not detect my cd burner (Lite On 40125s). It
has the newest firmware updates and burns regular stuff just fine with
Nero 5.5 (running Windows XP professional). I'm at a loss as to what
to do so I can burn the songs I just bought. A search of google for
the same problem didn't help. Any ideas?

Hi Neil,

Suggestions:

busTRACE Technologies has developed a simple utility that allows you to view
details about your CD-Recorder and the media that is inserted into the
drive. This utility will show you which of your CD/DVD devices Windows XP
has installed CD Recording support for.

If you are using a driver from the manufacturer of the drive and not the
driver that is supplied by Microsoft, make sure that you have the driver
available. You may need to remove the driver and reinstall it if it has
become corrupted.
