Itunes video play back and vista 64

Hi all , I am running vista 64 and itunes will not play back my music videos
..It plays music ok , it is just that when ever i try to play video it stops .
It says Itunes has stopped working and vista is checking to see if there is a
solution after that it just shuts down ? any one else having any issues like
this ? ..Babs

Apple is working on a new version of itunes that is Vista compatible.
The "older" version isn't.

Heh. I just found that article sheerly by accident about 30 minutes
after I asked the question here.

I get the exact same error/experience. I'm running very latest
itunes/quicktime on Vista x64. Have 2GB RAM, nVidia 7900GS.

I've discouvered the Quicktime is the culprit. I've successfully played
videos in Nero Showtime and VLC - in hi-def h.264 movies downloaded from the
Apple movie trailers page - without a hiccup or glitch. But Quicktime canont
- it's stalls a few seconds into playback and then stopps working and vista
is checking to see if there is a solution after that it just shuts down.

Apple has to come up with a solution - they said they are working on it 3
weeks ago, but still no update. Waiting anxiously for this...
