it's sharing stuff i don't want it to!

i've got XP Home and i've installed sp2 this afternoon. folders that are in
my documents and settings folder are now being shown in the My computer area
for all others on the p.c to see. this wasn't happening this morning. can
someone PLEASE tell me:
how-to-stop-this-without-sending-me-to-a-link-of-an-article-i-don't-understand-because-it's-all-written-in-big-words?
p.s. just telling me what the problem is, doesn't help me solve it!

1. Start -> Settings -> Network Connections -> Select your connection
2. Right click -> Properties
3. Uncheck "File-And-Printer Sharing For Microsoft Networks."
4. Or you can also highlight that and click uninstall. That's it.

Another way per Microsoft.

1. Double-click My Computer on the desktop.
2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
3. Click the View tab, and then UNCHECK the Use Simple File Sharing
(Recommended) check box to turn off Simple File Sharing.
4. Click "Apply to All Folders." That's it.
