Uninstall applications you don't need, don't install all
500 fonts that the word processing programs give you the
option of installing, stop running 17 programs in your
systray (the little icons in the lower right hand corner),
go get ad aware (lavasoft product) and clean up your
system from all that crap and stop running file sharing
software. Once you do all those, you should be fine.
